News from Crimson Trace

That new Rail Master Tactical Light that I mentioned the other day will be available for purchase on May 1st.

A little birdy also told me that they are gonna have some new green lasers for the 1911 and the polymer guns to show everyone at the NRA Show. I have talked about how amazing green lasers are in the past on this blog, and I cant wait to play around with these. Its hard to put it into words, but if you have not experienced the vast difference green lasers make in daylight conditions you really owe it to yourself to check it out. This is going to be a real game changer in the concealed carry market.

Crimson Trace Rail Master Review

I had a package show up here at the Gunmart Blog Test Kitchen not too long ago from the good people over at Crimson Trace. Inside of said package was one of their newest introductions to the marketplace... The Crimson Trace Rail Master.

Crimson trace first leaked pictures of this awesome new product back when they teased us all about their skunk-works project to put a laser on a lever gun. What they showed us was in fact their then unnamed Rail Master on their prototype rail device for lever guns (dont hold me to this, but I bet it will be released at the upcoming NRA Show). As you can see from the photo below, the Rail Master is a versatile piece of equipment. In fact, it can fit on just about any firearm with a rail. Rifle, handgun, shotgun, battle mug, and not too far down the road.... lever action guns too. The bottom line is that this is a universal laser aiming devise that can fit on just about anything with a rail.

Crimson Trace Rail Master In-Hand

Yeah, I have finally had a Crimson Trace Rail Master arrive here at the Gunmart Blog Test Kitchen. They have been back-ordered for a good long while now, which just goes to show you how popular this little laser has become.

This is not the first time that a laser has been brought to market with this design style/operating method, but it is the first time that one has been built to the exacting standards of Crimson Trace. It seems like a great product thus far... I will have more details after I can get out to the range and give it a good shakedown. Stay tuned.

(Wilsonville, OR) Crimson Trace and Camp Patriot are teaming up to provide a little well-deserved R&R for two wounded special forces veterans next week, on a high-tech hog hunt in Texas. Utilizing the latest in infra-red technology from CTC Defense, the pair will stalk feral pigs in complete darkness before using AR pattern rifles to bring home the bacon. "Everyone at Camp Patriot is excited about partnering with Crimson Trace for this well deserved hunt for our two service members," said Micah Clarke, founder of Camp Patriot. "CTC continues to lead the way in mission-critical products for the warfighter and also continues to champion the cause of giving back to those who have given."

Both service members were wounded in Afghanistan and have faced an arduous and painful road to recovery. The firearms industry has been at the forefront of supporting veterans' charities, particularly those that facilitate their rehabilitation.

New Crimson Trace Lasergrips for Gen 4 Glocks

Crimson Trace has recently introduced their new line of Lasergrip models for the Gen 4 Glock full-size, compact, and subcompact 9mm and .40 caliber pistols.

These Lasergrips are a solid one piece polymer design that weigh in at a miniscule 0.5 ounces on my postal scale. They feature the smallest laser diode that has ever been offered, and is fully adjustable for windage and elevation. The new Glock Gen 4 Lasergrips are zeroed at the factory for 50'. They run on two #2025 batteries (included) and offer a four hour battery life. They also feature a master on/off switch to preserve battery life when the unit is not needed.

Another new product from Crimson Trace

The Rail Master.... Universal laser sight for railed pistols and rifles.

I had a feeling that something like this was in the works. This is the laser that they were showing off as their new lever gun laser. Looking at those pictures closely, it looked to me like the laser was removable and would fit any rail. Turns out I was right. This will fit their lever gun rail adapter or any rail. Send me one please!
