Predator BDU Blog reports on what may be the worst way ever conceived to carry a reload... Stupid Solution in search of a problem.

Shell Casings for Education

You know, I get so damn tired of clipping those "box tops for education" thingys that you are supposed to send into the school.... how bout we start a new initiative... "Shell casings for education"? I sure would have more fun turning those out than I do the other ones.

Wonder what the old PTA president would think of that one!

*You know, I joke... but in actuality it would be a great way to raise a bunch of money for education if it ever caught on in the gun community... and if those loony liberal educators could ever get past the idea of little Johnny bringing in spent shell casings to class to turn in. Oh the horror! or something. Yeah, its a shame that it would never pass the anti-gun crowd but it sure would be cool to do a PTA event at the local range! It would also be a lot of fun to throw the whole "Come on, its for the children!" thing in their faces and watch them squirm.

Yeah, Ammo Prices Are Going Up

I mentioned the other day that the local Walmart (Not associated with Gunmart) has raised their prices on ammo. Now over at Fill Yer Hands they are noticing the same sticker shock. A shortage is coming.

*This post is brought to you in part by... Lucky Gunner Ammo. Stock up while you can!

*I joke... but buy some ammo from them. It helps me pay for my trips to the range.

This is why its great that more women are shooting...

... Because they take people shooting for the first time too. Sometimes they are a D.C. Councilman. Can you say exponential growth, boys and girls?

I'm Addressing the Technical Difficulties

Yes, the blog has been disgustingly slow lately. I have been trying to clean it up today and speed up loading times a bit, but I have come to the conclusion that its probably Blogger not liking me right now.

I'm gonna use this as an excuse to move everything over to Word Press... something that I have actually been wanting to do for a while now. Hopefully it wont take too long, but it will probably take a few days or so depending on how busy I am. I will still be posting from blogger in the meantime, but loading times may continue to be slow, and I probably wont be able to post as much as I like.

Thanks for your patience and understanding... Things will be back to normal soon, dont worry.

Blogging about shaving

I mentioned this a Loooooooong time ago, but I just wanted to give an update to this...

I found out a while back that if you dry your razor blades after you use it, a standard disposable razor blade will last you about 6 months. Basically all you have to do is shake the blade off real well and then run a towel over the front and back of the blade. As it turns out, you are throwing out your blades so often because of the rust that dulls the blade not the actual use.

When I last blogged about this I mentioned that I had only used 2 razor blades over the course of 12 months. That was about a year and four months ago. Since then I have used a grand total of three razor blades. Pretty impressive if you ask me. It definitely works. Each blade lasts somewhere between 4-6 months give or take.

Chris Berman is YouTube Comedy Gold

Id mentioned this on the Twitter Net the other day... here is the classic one of him just ranting like a mad man, and then a few others of him dropping F-Bomb after F-Bomb and then talking about smuggling drugs in from Canada or something. They are great.

Run it hard and put it away wet

Thats the advise coming from Nick. The idea being that you shouldnt worry about babying your gun when you are doing training that one day may save your life. He is right. Scratches and dents are gonna happen with working guns. We all like our firearms to look like safe queens, but if you are going to actually use your gun for what it was intended for (defense, hunting, otherwise) dont obsess over it getting banged around.

Oops. Look what happened there.

NRA Annual Meeting QOTD - Nick Leghorn

In which Nick quotes someone else...

I think the guys at Tapco summed it up best: everyone is focusing on meeting demand instead of extending their product lines. And for right now the gun makers are still playing catch-up.
