The Magpul Quad-Stack and 40 rd PMAGS are Coming

If you didnt catch the Guns.com coverage of the new MagLink the other day, you can read it here. Buried in that story is information that both the Magpul quad-stack and 40 round PMAGS are still in the works.

Magpul Maglink Magazine Coupler

GHAG has a look at Magpul's new product spotted at this year's NRA Meeting. Its styled along the same lines as the PMags, and at $16.99 its a pretty good price.

Yeah, I was getting kind of bored with the OD Magpul look... so I put the girl back in black for a while. Just like The Good Lord the U.S. Military intended! Got to love the modularity of the AR.

Hmmmmm... I wonder how long before FDE makes an appearance.

Jerking the Trigger Reviews the MagPod

Matt got an inside track to getting his hands on the cool new MagPod. You can read his great write up here. I think this is a really cool product, and something that is gonna sell very well. And oh by the way... Matt is right about that sacred cow elephant:

First, like I did in my first MagPod post, lets take care of the elephant in the room. The MagPod is designed to allow shooters to use their Magpul PMAGs more efficiently as a mono-pod to steady their rifles in the prone position. So, it promotes resting the magazine on the deck which many people wrongly believe will cause their rifles to malfunction. This is simply not the case. It has been shown over and over by several instructors who teach this technique and oversee hundreds of thousands (if not millions) of rounds being sent down range that this is a valid technique that will not cause malfunctions with a quality magazine and quality rifle. There, I feel better.

Here is the video... Basically this thing works as a "ranger plate", so to speak, to aid in pull the mag from a carrier, but also allows for a stable shooting platform. Works on all Pmags.

Soldier Systems broke the news that Magpul will be offering shotgun accessories. These will be showcased at SHOT 2012 and will probably hit retail markets shortly after that. The forend will be compatible with all the MOE accessories currently on the market.

Magpul 2011 year in review

An interesting look at a company that makes some great products... over at the Firearm Blog. Its a great read and is something you should take the time for if you are a Magpul fan. They pose the question as to if they are actually as awesome as we think or if it was in reality a lackluster year.

Yeah, I dressed out my Daniel Defense in some Magpul gear. MOE trigger guard... MOE grip... PMAGs... MOE stock. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Its cliche, I know... But I really like the feel of the Magpul stuff, and the OD green is perfect for my area of the country.
