Senate bill to repeal "Dont ask/Dont tell" fails

... and Two Democrats join GOP against measure attached to military spending bill.

Good. I believe that this is NOT a decision that should be made by Congress, The President, or a judge. This is something that should be decided by our highest ranking career military leaders. They are the ones who need to decide if this is in the best interest of the military or not.

If they need to discriminate, then let them discriminate. Their job is to put forth the most formidable fighting force that they can, and if they need to pick and choose who serves in order to do that then that's fine with me. This is not about protecting someone's right to have a career in the military.... This is about national security. If they need to discriminate against gays (or blacks, whites, men, women, Christians, you name it) then so be it.
