Officer's lost gun found after 3 years

A service weapon lost by a veteran Lowell police officer more than three years ago has been found - in the officer’s own home.
Police Superintendent Kenneth Lavallee tells The Sun of Lowell that Officer David Quigley found the Beretta handgun in his Westford home within the last month. He did not say exactly where in the home it was located.
Quigley, who served a multiday suspension for the infraction, immediately reported the missing weapon when it was misplaced in September 2007
