At more than 75 feet long and 12 feet wide, the concrete, private shooting range would be a first for the city, said City Manager Dennis Stepke.
Although Chuck Posthumus, an architect representing Snodgrass, said neighbors wouldn’t hear gunshots and the type of firearms would be restricted to handguns, the city has yet to decide whether such a facility belongs in a residential neighborhood, Stepke said.
