If you are not familiar with the show Swamp People, head on over to the History Channel site and check it out. Its a really cool show, and its entertaining for the culture of New Orleans that it depicts as well as for the massive gator hunts that it lets you see.
One thing I cant find anywhere on the net is anything about the guns they use in the show. There are a couple that I recognize, but most are older then I am and are so beat up that its really are hard to tell what they are. I would love to see an in depth run down of the.22s they use to put down those 500+ pound gators. I have noticed that they primarily use CCI ammo, but its hard to tell which ones, and I would be very curious to know what they choose here also - especially with regards to HP/Round nose. It is interesting to note that they almost scoff at the .22 lr handguns to get the job done... It goes to show ya how much performance really falls of the table because of the shorter barrel.
