Las Vegas, NV --(Ammoland.com)- GunBroker.com received the SHOT Business Award for Company of the Year at a Bonnier Outdoor Group breakfast January 18 in .
The award is presented annually to a leading company/organization in the shooting sports industry. It is based on community outreach and efforts to preserve the hunting and shooting heritage, as well as protect firearm freedoms.

SHOT Business Editor Slaton White presented the Company of the Year Award to Steve Urvan, GunBroker.com’s founder and CEO. The Bonnier breakfast was held on the opening day of the Shooting and Hunting Outdoor Trade (SHOT) Show. Bonnier Corporation is one of the largest consumer-publishing groups in the U.S. A Bonnier magazine, SHOT Business is the official publication of the National Shooting Sports Foundation (NSSF).
As the award recipient, GunBroker.com was cited for revolutionizing the firearms marketplace. Its website (www.gunbroker.com) has become the world’s largest online auction for firearms and hunting/shooting accessories, with about three million monthly unique visitors and 1.75 million registered users.
“GunBroker.com and Steve Urvan are models of how a successful business is doing all it can to support the future of our industry and the shooting sports,” White said.
“It is particularly gratifying that a ‘non-traditional,’ or Internet, firearms business understands the principle of protecting a heritage that traditional ‘brick and mortar’ companies have so long supported. As more Internet businesses spring up in the industry, GunBroker.com serves as an example to be emulated in this regard.”
