From Kent, WA, 23 year old Kelly Bachand will soon graduate from the University of Washington with a BS in Electrical Engineering and a minor in Mathematics. In 2007 Kelly won gold as a firing member of the World Champion U21 USA Young Eagles. Recognized as a high junior regionally and nationally between 2007 and 2009, he then went on to achieve overall wins at the state, regional, and international level. Kelly won the 2009 Canadian Target Rifle Championship, had seven other first place finishes and 20 other top 10 finishes at the 2009 DCRA matches. Returning home and winning the NW Int’l Prone Championship and WA State 600 Yard Prone Championship topped off a great year. In 2010, Kelly was honored to be featured on History Channel’s original TV series “Top Shot” where his wit and ability to learn were highlighted. Later in 2010, he finished in the top 10 at both the US LR Nationals, US Fullbore Nationals and claimed third place in the Palma Individual Trophy Match. Kelly recently decided to get involved in pistol and three gun competitions and is excited for the new challenges they will provide.
