Looks like I struck a nerve

If you missed my article over at AmmoLand the other day, go give it a read. I talk about the cultural shift that I believe we need to see at local gun shops.... for the sake of the "new gun culture" as well as for people like myself who are just completely over it. I travel a good bit, and frequent local gun shops all across my state.... My perception is that the gun shop cliche is in fact a real world reality... One that needs to be nipped in the bud.

Anyway... it really seems to be getting the interwebs all worked up.... there is a good discussion going on over at the article link, as well as a few other places.

This Gun Blogger has an opinion

Its also sparked some conversations at the gun forums... here.... here.

The Truth About Guns has a thread going about "The stupidest thing you've ever heard at a gun shop".

Guns.com also has an article up expanding the conversation a bit.... here... I actually loved the reference they made to the gun shop commandos being the equivalent of Comic Book Guy from The Simpsons. Thats hilarious! There is also a rather extensive discussion going on at their Facebook page.
