SIG P224

Richard has all the specs and this pic:

Essentially a cut-down P229, the SIG SAUER P224 is a subcompact pistol in the classic SIG series (P226, etc.).  The new guns will be double stack pistols chambered in 9mm, .40 S&W and .357 SIG. MSRP on the guns is more than $1000, but expect to see them sell for less through your local retailer.
Basically, its a subcompact Sig thats aimed at competing with the Glock 26 and the like. I find it interesting that Sig is going after the double-stack market as opposed to the current rage that is the single-stack micro 9s. Perhaps they have the foresight to see that those micro 9s are gonna be the flash in the pan that I think they are or perhaps they are just completely off the mark. Either way, this gun will at the very least be very desirable to the Sig devotees (which are numerous) so they should sell a bunch of them.
