New Crimson Trace Lasergrips for Gen 4 Glocks

Crimson Trace has recently introduced their new line of Lasergrip models for the Gen 4 Glock full-size, compact, and subcompact 9mm and .40 caliber pistols.

These Lasergrips are a solid one piece polymer design that weigh in at a miniscule 0.5 ounces on my postal scale. They feature the smallest laser diode that has ever been offered, and is fully adjustable for windage and elevation. The new Glock Gen 4 Lasergrips are zeroed at the factory for 50'. They run on two #2025 batteries (included) and offer a four hour battery life. They also feature a master on/off switch to preserve battery life when the unit is not needed.

Instillation is straight forward and doesn't take long at all. The new laser unit fits seamlessly over the Gen 4 Glock’s backstrap and requires no gunsmithing. Simply use the included punch tool to push out the stock Glock trigger housing pin in the rear of the grip and then replace it with the longer pin that is supplied with the laser. The same process is repeated when it is time to change the batteries.

Activation of the Lasergrips is done through the very familiar and definitive form of intuitive activation that Crimson Trace has become so famous for. On the back of the grip is a pressure activation pad that allows the user to activate the laser simply by firmly gripping the firearm. It is an activation method that is absolutely ideal for concealed carry and personal protection. Its not something you have to think about in a pressure packed, life or death situation. You simply apply a firm shooting grip and your laser will be activated. Its that easy.

Another big plus with these new lasers is that there is no need to go out and buy all new holsters. Since these grips attach to the rear of the grip, almost any holster that currently works with your Gen 4 Glock will also work with these Lasergrips attached. There will be no additional cost incurred in having to find compatible holsters.

These new Lasergrips for the Gen 4 Glocks are top notch. They are of the same quality and craftsmanship that we have continually seen from Crimson Trace over the years, and they are without a doubt a must have for owners of Gen 4 Glocks. Couple these Lasergrips with a Crimson Trace Lightguard and you have one heck of a setup for your Glock for either carry or home defense. With an MSRP of $279, You can look for Crimson Trace to feature these new lasers at SHOT Show 2012 and they will be available for purchase from their website on January 2nd, 2012.
