Building an AR on a Budget

Matt over at Jerking The Trigger (whose opinion I have a great amount of respect for) has a very good read posted up about how to build an AR on a budget. There is a lot of good information over there at the link about where and how to cut costs, so go give it a read. I will add that there are low cost alternatives to the Aimpoint Micro out there that will serve you well as long as you dont plan on taking your rifle anywhere near Afghanistan.

I have talked about the significance of budget ARs in the past and the more that I look at the current saturation of the AR market, the more I realize how important budget ARs are becoming to consumers... and because they are becoming important to consumers, they better start becoming very important to manufacturers.
