FOR SALE OR TRADE! This listing is for a "RESTRICTED EDITION" MATCHED SET of LW SEECAMP Model LWS 25 & LWS 32 semi automatic pistols chambered in 25ACP & 32ACP. The winning bidder will receive TWO pistols with the same serial number manufactured by SEECAMP.
There are numerous fabricated stories floating around and even incorrect information published in some well known reference books. LW Seecamp Company had an exclusive arrangement with one distributer to market their pistols when they began production of the LWS 25 pistols. There was a clause in the contract that allowed Seecamp to sell guns also to existing customers, friends, gunsmiths, etc. The guns produced for these customers were marked "Restricted Edition" on the right side of the slide and had unique serialization. Examples of these guns are rarely seen on the market for sale. Seecamp offered a deal for the owners of the LWS25 when they made a new model pistol the customer could get that model with the same serial number. Approximately 20 of these were completed before BATF was notified and they quickly stopped the practice. Information I read states these guns produced as a match set, these guns were never manufactured as a set at the same time. The LWS25 was manufactured earlier then the LWS32 and I have seen nothing that supports they were ever manufactured at the same time. I have also read that "Restricted Edition" was stamped on opposite sides of the guns that had the same serial number, it was never intentional if there happens to be one in existence like that it was done so on special order or requested by the customer. Seecamp pistols are handmade and are not cookie cutter produced; it is my understanding custom serialization or changes is possible upon request. "Restricted Edition" stamping is always on the right side. Some literature says one gun was produced in matte the other in polished, this is not always the case. Not all 25s were produced in matte finish, they were made both ways or by request to have them polished. Blue Book states 200 sets were made, this is also not the case only 20 TWENTY 32ACP are known to exist with the same serial number as a LWS25. This information was gathered over the years of collecting and doing research on firearms. I have also recently read blogs and information released by Seecamp to support these statements.
