Richard over at Empty Cases is dealing with this situation first hand when his 11 year old son wrote a column in a shooting magazine. His son's school seems to be pretty darn upset about it all.
I touched on this subject recently in a article I wrote over at AmmoLand and this is yet another shining example. Its so sad that we have gotten to the point where someone cant even mention, reference, or think about a gun without the powers that be wetting themselves. They always say that they are doing it for the sake of protecting children from the dangers of guns, but in reality it has the opposite effect. All these administrators are doing is sticking their heads in the sand. The responsible thing to do is to talk to kids about guns. Tell them about the dangers, and educate them about how to be safe.
Hey, Richard... you should walk into that administrators office and pitch a total fit over this. When he inevitably arrives at the argument that its all in the name of gun safety, you should throw the Eddie Eagle program into his face and tell him to "put up or shut up".
