Last night I tweeted this... and then while watching Last Man Standing, I heard Tim Allen's character tell the same joke. Yes, Tim Allen stole my joke! (Months before I thought of it while filming a show that would somehow air the same night I made sloppy joes)
Here is the full episode. (14:20 mark)
BTW - if you have not seen the show its pretty funny. They also feature firearms pretty regularly... They have shotguns, ARs, SBRs, (I kid you not!) and muskets hanging on the walls throughout the many sets.
In last night's second episode they did a joke where Tim Allen's character was cleaning a musket and his wife freaked out a little and said that he needs to be careful that their 2 year old grandchild doesnt get his hands on the gun. Tim Allen's character then went on a funny little rant about how the kid would have to get his hands on the gun, poor in the powder, pack down the powder, put in a ball, pack down the ball, put the gun on half cocked, prime the pan, pull the gun to full cock, and then accidentally shoot someone. His wife then made the comment that he should just keep the gun on safety just to be sure, and then he joked "this whole gun is a safety!".
A shotgun is a stocking stuffer? Who knew!
And they are fond of the .270
