If video games have taught me anything

... The AK takes much longer to unlock in multiplayer therefore it must be superior to the AR. Heh!

Yes, the web-o-sphere has been all abuzz with the AK/AR debate as of late. For the record, my preference is for the AR... for no reason other than than its my personal preference. I think the whole thing is really silly. Just shoot what you like.

What say you?

  1. Put me down for the AK... much more robust firearm. I know its cliche, but it would blow your mind to see real world examples of these things running when mechanically they should have failed.

  2. The AR is the better rifle simply because of the modularity of the platform. When you can take one lower and turn it into literally countless rifles/pistols (NFA rules aside) its a huge advantage. Its the winner hands down just because of that alone.

  3. As much as I like the AR, if I had to take 1 rifle into a real world survival/combat environment I sadly must choose the AK. A working rifle of mediocre accuracy and quality is better than a finally machined rifle that requires much more cleaning and maintenance.
